The Beginning

Last week, the first week in January, 2005, my father, Pastor James Roberts was diagnosed with cancer. We know very little at this point, but its kind of scary just because the "C" word was spoken. I myself had a rare skin cancer at one point, so I know that not all cancer is fatal, but it still scares me.
My dad is a great man, and I know that many, many people are praying for him. And I know that God answers prayers. I am confident in this.
The purpose of this blog is to keep all of our friends and family updated on his progress, and you all are welcome to make comments to us as well.
Thank you for your continued love and support.
We will know more on Thursday, January 13th.
I will get new info to you all as soon as possible.

Bro. Roberts, You must know how appreciative so many people are of you. You are so concerned with souls being saved. You are a blessing. You'll remain in our prayers. The Wilhoite Family

Pastor James is a neighbor, a friend and one of the nicest, kindest persons we have in the "hood". While saddened to hear of his diagnosis, I was extremely impressed with his positive attitude towards difficult news. He told me yesterday that he believes that good things can come from even the worst situations. What an inspiration to us all.

I was pleased to hear that the lung operation went well and the outlook is cautiously optimist at this time. My family and I wish him a speedy recovery, good results from his leg operation, and a rapid return to good health.

Please give him our warmest regards and tell him to get well soon.....there is WAY too much snow to shovel on his corner lot.....but I do it gladly for such a nice man.

Hugs,
Jim, Robin, Adam and Erin Fowler
